Crochet is a popular craft activity. In some parts of the world, crochet is economically important, but for most people in the West it is something that is done as a leisure activity - many find crochet to be relaxing, and they also get a lot of satisfaction from creating things.

For many people, crochet is handed down through the generations. For example, you may have been taught by crochet by your mother or grandmother.
