One of the most common obstacles encountered by many scrapbooking enthusiasts is their handwriting. Like most people, they simply do not like their handwriting. They may say it's uneven, too small, too large or any number of other complaints.

Whatever the case may be, it stops many of them from including journaling in their scrapbooks. This can leave them feeling unsatisfied with their scrapbooks and, in some cases, causes them to stop scrapbooking all together.

I'm here today to point out three very specific reasons why this should not be the case.
My first reason is simple really, and provides a great alternative to those of you who simply refuse to include your handwriting in your scrapbooks.

Use a computer to type up and print out any of your journaling. It's that easy. There are so many fonts available in word processing software now that you should have no trouble finding something you like. If you absolutely cannot find just what you're looking for there's no reason to fret.
You can find new and different fonts on many scrapbooking websites. Using the computer for your journaling is a great option.

My second reason is equally simple, I believe. Our family members, and many of our friends, already know what our handwriting looks like.

Although we may be very critical of our own handwriting, chances are, they're not. Our handwriting is such a part of our identity that when they see your journaling in a scrapbook, they're more likely to think of it as being part of you and less likely to give the quality of your handwriting a second thought.

Not to mention the words you write, no matter how neat or not neat, are what's truly important.
My third reason is more of a suggestion. If you're not fond of the idea of your journaling being typed and are absolutely against using your own handwriting, you may enlist the help of a friend or relative to copy the journaling for you.

This would not only give you the opportunity to include your precious thoughts and observations, but might give you the chance to share your hobby with someone else.
